Hi, it's Veronika here =)

As time goes on, different themes are making their way to our shop, yet one stays the same - it's all about being cruelty-free. Although the Mother's day isn't celebrated always the same day in every country, as far as I know, all dates are around springtime - and spring is coming! =) So today's article is, of course, about Mother's day - and it doesn't matter what exact date you celebrate it.
If you or your Mum are vegan (but even if not!), certainly have a look at my vegan picks for Mother's day, you'll be blown away with these amazing gift ideas that are kind to animals and the Earth.

Let's start with a nice classic that every Mother would appreciate - flowers. Flowers can be given as a bouquet or in a pot so they can last longer - I personally prefer this choice and I'm still enjoying my Valentine's roses that are happily living in the pot on the window just next to me =) And you can complement this with a floral theme on a card =)

Hi, it's Veronika here... I'm sooo late with this article I've been preparing for since November and it is... wait for it... late January! Oh no!

I have met Aubrey from Virginia, US, a businesswoman who makes repurposed vegan leather bags. And not only bags. And I must say, although I'm not a bag lady (backpack would do the job most of the time for me), I understand, that bags are a big deal for many women and men, so I wanted to present a range of bags that my untrained eye finds as well-made, eco-friendly, and above all, vegan.

Therefore, here is Gennhaio. Read as [Jen-nay-o] as Aubrey noted =)

Aubrey, please, tell us a bit about yourself and your shop:

Hello, I’m Aubrey a dreamer, a thinker, and a doer. But most importantly, I’m a seeker, constantly searching for new ways to live my personal mantra, which is to “Live the life I love!" As a business owner my feet are firmly planted on earth, from where I do all my creating, designing, and exploring.

A blend of art, love for all things environmental, casual conversations with interesting people, an entrepreneurial spirit, and global explorations led me to create Gennhaio. This is where my ideas, designs, and creative products are conceived, designed, and ‘released.’ ‘New Beginnings’ are part of each Gennhaio creation.  I take an item that may have started out as one thing, then by a process of assimilation and creative symbiosis pair or repurpose it, giving birth to a third or unique product.

Charlotte ChapmanHi, it's Veronika here! Today I'm going to introduce to you a great vegan photographer Charlotte and her shop based in England. Charlotte is also a like-minded business owner who sells on Etsy* - her beautiful nature photographies which she offers as cards and prints for many occasions. But that's not all! Charlotte, please let us know more about you and your brand, work and goals:

Hi Veronika,

Thanks for getting in touch with me.
In simple terms, I studied Art & Design at college and fell in love with photography. I have been taking photos ever since. I enjoy all kinds of photography but mostly landscape and nature, especially when I use my macro lens and I am able to get great close up pictures of flowers and lovely bumblebees.

I have recently started to do more photography outside of my day job, in the past year I have shot 6 weddings plus various newborn and family shoots. I enjoy capturing memories for people but I still just love going for a walk and taking my camera to see what I might find.

About year ago I set up my Etsy shop, I don’t expect to make much money on here, but it is nice to have another place to showcase my work. It is also great that I don’t need to purchase greeting cards anymore as I just use my own :)

Hi, it's Veronika here and I'm going to show you today another like-minded business owner who sells on Etsy* - please let me introduce to you Lu and her shop based in England. Lu's wool-free knits caught my attention already when I was preparing my Christmas vegan show-off - as you can see here. So even though we're not today completely beach styled, when a winter is coming, we all like to wrapped ourselves into something warm and preferably cruelty-free. And as Lu offers custom orders, why not to ask her to make an ocean blue scarf for your winter walk on the shore?

But now, Lu, please let us know more about you and your brand and goals:

Hi, Let me introduce myself as Lu, owner, designer, creator of Let’s Go Baa-Less.
I live in Norwich UK, I have been vegan over 3 years now originally for the animals but now for everything, it stands for. Teetotal non-smoker but love of junk food :)
My other job is a Tofu maker! I must be a lucky vegan!
I’m an empath and suffer anxiety but my knitting really helps calm me!
I design, make and sell a range of wool-free, Vegan Knitwear aimed at adults primarily.
As well as selling ready made knitted items I sell Made to Order items made the way you want and I also sell the patterns to make your own, my range consists of bags, socks, scarves, hats, gloves and more!

Hi, it's Veronika here and I'm finally getting to know more like-minded business owners on Etsy* - please let me introduce to you Maria and her shop based in Estonia and Scotland. Maria shares love to linen fabric with me so I wanted to find our more about her business.

Maria, please let us know more about you and your brand and goals:

Hi Veronika,

Here's a little introduction to our brand:

The idea of starting our own business started developing in the summer of 2015 when my partner and I moved back to the Estonian countryside after 8 months of travelling in Europe. We were inspired by the beautiful nature around us and as we had time to truly enjoy a slower pace of life for the first time in a very long time, we felt more creative than ever. We opened our business a year later - selling natural handmade soaps and linen towels. After a couple of years of learning, experimenting and growing, we are now focusing on making pure linen home textiles and home decor items that help to create a happy, harmonious and conscious home - kitchen and bathroom towels, blankets, reusable shopping bags and more. We've also managed to expand our business and are now able to offer international shipping from the UK.
